Osaka has owed much of its prosperity-its cultural and commercial development-to water transportation since ancient times when it was called "Naniwazu," the port of Naniwa. We intend to recreate the "Water Metropolis" and develop a "water corridor" that matches the atmosphere of Osaka.

Introducing some of the many sites around the city that testify to Osaka's flourishing history, the characteristic regional Kamigata style of arts such as rakugo comic storytelling and manzai standup comedy, and Osaka's highly individual cuisine.
